Day 272
On our final day in Southern California wine country we found our curiosities of the area depleted and were looking forward to begin our slow ascent into Northern California tomorrow. Over night the rain had moved on, and the weather network is calling for clear skies throughout the day. Looking to get out, we decided to go for a drive to San Diego to explore a little. I looked into the possibility of visiting the amusement parks; such as Sea World or LegoLand, but after the shakedown Mickey gave us in Disney World, I was not inclined to have Shamu or a Lego character empty our pockets out also.
When we left the Rv, we found the flooded section of road clear of water with only sand on each side indicating there had been a flash flood here. We took the I-15 to San Diego and the trip took les time than expected. When we arrived, we decided we really had no inclination to drive around a busy city so we stopped at the local Rockler woodworking store for myself, and IKEA to pick up a bag of Swedish meatballs before returning back home.
