Mossies Everywhere!

Day Thirty Eight

Our destination today is the Upper Canada Campground, located Southeast of Ottawa, close to the St Lawrence River. The Weather forecast was calling for rain and possible thunderstorms in Fenelon Falls; so we hope it does not follow us. The drive to Upper Canada is a five hour jump and we figured we would get the best mileage on the 401 highway, so we headed south first. The day was extremely windy and no thundershowers were to be seen. As for the wind, I found handling the RV better and have become a little calmer in responding the wind gusts.

The Upper Canada Campground was well maintained and provides a fair number of facilities for campers to enjoy. We quickly set up the RV, doing our best to dodge the mosquitoes as we went. We retreated to the RV for the afternoon in an attempt to escape the onslaught of mosquitoes that are out here. Without exaggeration, every time we open the door, three to four of those little bastards get into the RV. The dogs are beginning to think we have lost our screws as we run around the RV hitting walls and smacking our hands together in attempts to kill the mossies.

Update on our; no dogs to the table rule. Sophie and Gizmo have accepted our terms of no dogs at the table, and have decided to respectfully wait at Lori’s side for the small food pieces that accidentally make their way down to the pups.
