Last of the Kippens

 Day Seventy Five

Today, is our last day in this section of Newfoundland. Our plan for the day was, a little golfing, and later just hang with the pups. In the last six days we explored everything that was of interest, what continued to be of interest was too far away for a day trip.

In the morning, we were welcomed with heavy rain that lasted until mid afternoon. Naturally, we canceled the golf game and decided to head into town instead. I dropped Lori off at the local quilting store, and I headed over to the local RV dealer. The purpose of my visit to the store was for a new ball seal to our toilet. Our seal was beginning to fail, allowing the water that sits in the bowl to slowly drain away and possibly allow poo-pouri to escape from the septic tank. With no such luck at the RV dealer, I figured I would have to wait until we arrive in St. John’s for a replacement.

After I picked Lori up from the quilt store, we had intentions of going for lunch. We quickly discovered the town had no restaurants open other than fast food places. After looking around for a place to eat, we gave up and headed home for some good old KD. For the rest of the day I researched RV toilets, read my book, and Lori cut fabric for an on going Christmas project.

Shortly after dinner, the sun had reappeared along with the wind. I took the opportunity to pack up the outdoor gear on preparation for our jump tomorrow, and then settled down for an evening movie.
