Day 222
Our first stop in Texas is located just above Houston, in Lake Conroe. The town itself is very much a resort town, much Like Kelowna or Osoyoos. We have no plans to hang around the big city so our stay here will be only for a day before we move closer to Austin. During our stay I could not resist hitting the local Rockler woodworking store and Lori, Hobby Lobby. Hoping storage will not become an issue or the golf clubs may have to go.
Lake Conroe is situated in Montgomery County, birthplace of the State’s Flag. The campsite itself was great and would recommend it to anyone passing through.
Travelling through the highways and byways, neighborhoods both rural and suburban you can really see a difference between various states. Truly evident between Louisiana and Texas.
