Gaylord Opryland

 Day 173

Living on the road for a year, we certainly figured there will be days when one of us would be feeling under the weather. I’m not speaking of Covid or anything serious, just a plain cold or headache. Today was one of those days, Lori was not feeling the best this morning so we took our time in getting the day started.

Just before noon, we decided to head over to a hotel called the Gaylord of Opryland, located beside the Grand Ole Opry. We were told about the hotel the day prior that the hotel was something that we certainly needed to be checked out. Looking to take it a little slow today, we figured this would be a perfect place to spend a few hours.

The hotel turned out to be a huge bio dome filled with trees, plants and a shopping village surrounded by a large river working its way around, very cool place. We finished exploring the hotel shortly after 1:00 o’clock and decided to try the Cracker Barrel for lunch. The food was good but very rich, their trademark dish, biscuits with white gravy poured over them.
