Into Georgia

 Day 178

Two more days of traveling until we reach Myrtle Beach on the east coast. Leaving Alabama behind, our journey will take us from Alabama all the way across Georgia to the state line of South Carolina. The drive was expected to take just over five hours, but there was heavy traffic from construction so it ended up being a seven hour journey.

We arrived at our campground early into the evening and had just enough time to set up the Rv and walk the dogs before the sun went down, sunset here is 6:00 o’clock. Both Lori and I were tired from the drive so we decided to watch a little tv with the puppies for the balance of the evening.

Have you ever had those bizarre moments when you talk about something and right after you do it happens? As I began looking for something to watch on tv that was not a religious show or infomercial from bottom feeders (lawyers) looking to sue someone, I stopped at a channel where an episode of Alice started (from the post kiss my grits)…. How weird is that!

On our way to Heartwell Lakeside KOA. This journey will take us around Atlanta and close to the state border is South Carolina.
Our stay was brief but the KOA seemed nice.

Our camp spot was very nice! Right in the water again.
