Day 172
As we progress closer into the interior of the US, our level of caution has increased. We have been advised by friends and travel sites to pick our campgrounds and gas stations carefully. In places we intend to tour check the crime rate of the areas and stay on the main roads. Keeping this in mind, we checked the crime rate for Nashville and surprisingly found it to be 54.6 out of 100 for violent crimes. To put this in perspective, New York City is 28.2 for violent crimes, and the national US Average is 22.7.
That being said, today we kept close to Opryland, instead of branching out to explore other areas of Nashville. Within our little corner of the city, there was Madame Tassauds wax museum that was just begging to be explored.
