Day 203
In our best effort to avoid hurricane Nicole, we were surprised to see it was now veering right towards us. We did our best trying to guess where we should be in relation to the storm, only to find out that the storm conditions changed hourly. As we watched the direction of the storm change, Lori and I decided to head into town for a few extra supplies just incase things became nasty.
When we returned home, I read Pensacola was going to escape the storm completely. I began to wonder why we didn’t just continue to Pensacola as it was intended to be our final destination in Florida before crossing over into Alabama 🤦♂️. Instead of us battening down the hatches in Perry, we could have been exploring Pensacola! Doh!
