Dodging the Hurricanes

 Day 156

On September 13th, we decided to leave PEI and begin out journey through New Brunswick to the US border. On September 23, hurricane Fiona worked its way up the Atlantic towards the maritimes, hitting the region hard on September 24.  Eleven days after leaving Canada, we watched Fiona tear into the maritime provinces from Massachusetts. It’s kind of ironic that our biggest fear was (and still is) getting stuck in a hurricane as we explored the southeast coast of the US. Never did I think we would be escaping a hurricane as we left Canada. We are very thankful we became impatient waiting for our original October departure date from the maritimes.
