To Go or Not to Go

 Day 201

Since yesterday, we’ve been watching a tropical storm in the Atlantic slowly work it’s way towards the east coast. Lori and I discussed options in the evening as our home through the storm was to be on the St. Augustine beach. If the storm was to develop into a hurricane it was projected to hit the southern parts of Florida, leaving the northern seaboard classified as a sub tropical storm. Everything was a possibility and no alerts had been released, so we decided to wait until the morning and see how things developed through the night.

In the morning, the storm was listed as a sub tropical by the National Hurricane Centre naming it Nicole. lori and I discussed our options over breakfast, and decided to cancel our stay in St. Augustine in favour of an extended stay in Perry where the storm would be minimal. It was a hard decision to make, as we both were looking forward to our stay in St. Augustine and partaking of the fountain of youth. What’s in Perry you ask? Nothing! It was intended to be a overnight stay as we make our way over to Pensacola. Now we will spend our time here until the storm has moved on, so my apologies for the upcoming posts to comprise mostly of my meandering thoughts 😁
