Georgetown or Bust

 Day 227

You ever get those days where you make plans and they become a complete bust and end up back at home? That was us today.

Georgetown, just north of Austin was having a Christmas market, parade, Santa Claus visit and all the fixings for a Christmas festival, we just couldn’t turn it down. The day was going to be cool, so we packed the puppies up and headed over to Georgetown. Once we arrived we were met with one variable we did not consider, traffic! The volume of people coming to the event was unbelievable. We slowly made our way into town and began looking for that rare creature called a parking space. When some parking spots began to open up, we were countless blocks away from the Main Street. We were not comfortable leaving  the dogs in the truck this far, and knew from our experiment on River Street in San Antonio that the pups were easily agitated in large crowds. We made an escape from the masses and slowly worked our way back home, hitting the odd store as we went.
