Walk of the Stars

Day 262

After a brief visit to downtown Palm Springs yesterday, we decided to the take advantage of today’s nice weather and spend the day on the Walk of the Stars. The walk runs through a few strips of downtown and honours various people who have lived in the greater Palm Springs area. Among those honoured are Presidents of the United States, movie, radio and Tv personalities, literary figures, pioneers, humanitarians and Medal of Honour  recipients.

On the far end of the walk we headed east a few blocks to Sherman’s Deli that has been a landmark restaurant and hot spot since 1963 for a little lunch. When we arrived the place was bustling with activity and waiting line twenty minutes long. We decided it had to be worth the wait if it was this busy and put our names on the list. Final opinion, if your in the area you must stop here. After a great lunch we headed back to the far end of the walk to where we left the truck, ducking into stores as we went.

Sherman’s Deli, a must visit.

Even Guy Fieri was impressed.
