Day 247
When we began making plans for this trip, I wondered if we were the type of people that could handle a lengthy stay away from our home, friends and family. There have certainly been times when the thought had been seriously challenged, such as being absent for the birth of our second grandson.
Today is the day before Christmas Eve and the absence of family and friends has really demonstrated that Christmas is not just another day (of course it would be worse if Lori was not by my side). In an effort to keep our mind off home, we drove to Tucson to book grooming appointments for the pups and replenish their kibble supply. We had originally planned to explore Tucson but traffic was congested being so close to Christmas, so we made our way back home.
