One Billion Dollars

 Day 193

We had nothing  scheduled for the day, so we took the opportunity to explore Orlando a little. Getting around Orlando has been a very interesting experience. There are toll roads everywhere and trying to avoid them really adds to your driving time, and exposes you to some serious crazy drivers on the regular roads. We have watched on a few occasions, people driving at high speeds (not just speeding, I mean crazy speed) and weaving in and out of traffic. I’m surprised people would even attempt stunts like this, considering the lawyers here do theirs best to convince you through constant tv commercials and bill boards to sue someone, they make it sound like it’s a lottery.

When we purchased our toll road transponder, I was not sure how much we would need. I placed the minimum amount of ten dollars on the transponder and figured that would last for a week, after the second day I received a notice that my account was at $1.20, small price to pay to get around quickly I guess.

On our return home, we stopped at the gas station close to our campground to get in on this highly talked about Power Ball Lottery. We purchased ten numbers for a winning jackpot of 1,000,000,000.00 US dollars. If we win, our friends and family are going to have an awesome Christmas.

In case your wondering… yes! A Canadian citizen can claim the lottery.
