The Living Zoo

Day 264

Our original plan for the day was to take the Palm Spring Arial Tramway to the San Jacinto Peak and spend the afternoon exploring the hiking trails for views of the valley. When we awoke, there was a heavy cloud base hanging over the mountains concealing any view of the valley. Making a quick adjustment in our plans, we decided to head for the Palm Spring Living Zoo instead.

After a day of walking the entire zoo, we headed home to relax with the puppies. On the news that evening we watched a local news channel reported about a mechanical issue on the Tram and it was down for several hours. No one was on the tram, but anyone waiting to get off the summit had to wait a few hours.
