Day 131
Today is a jump day to the next campground. Leaving Lord Selkirk, we can only say wonderful things about the place, it’s clear they make an effort to keep the place in good working order. Our next campground is Crystal Beach, located between Kensington, and Sumerside facing Webber Cove. With only four weeks to go until we cross over to the US, we decided to extend our stay at this campground for two weeks.
We packed the Rv and made our departure, Lori took the truck into Charlottetown for supplies and I took the Rv to the campground to set up. Our spot for the next two weeks is situated right on Webber Cove, but it is evident the campground tries to maximize its revenue by squeezing as many Rv’s along the shore as they can, we are packed in like sardines. The campground itself is certainly run down and is apparent few restrictions have been imposed on the seasonal campers. With junk piled around and under their campers, decks that are falling apart to fences missing boards, and even sections that have fallen down, the place is certainly an eyesore.
When I arrived, I parked the Rv further back on the site enabling me to place the screened tent with the picnic table right in front of the Rv. The view of Webber Cove from the Rv is amazing and certainly makes up for the minor disappointment of the run down campground.
