Day 124
I’m not sure how we goat there but we found the Great Canadian Soap Co. The soap is made from goats milk and natural fragrances, making for a healthy replacement to the chemical filled commercial soaps you see in stores. We heard the claims that goat soap was the best and I had my doubts, but after handling a few bars, your skin felt truly soft without the feel of any residue……..I think the goats are onto something.
Being nothing new, goat soap has been around a very longtime, records have proven Cleopatra used fragranced goat soap. We explored the different styles of soap and fragrances before heading out to visit the factory workers. The little guys were happy for the attention and clearly demonstrated their mischievous nature by trying to eat the bag of soap Lori had in her hand.
After a little moisturizing session, we headed in the direction of Brackley Beach located in the Prince Edward Island National Park. Along the way we can across The Dunes Studio Gallery & Cafe, and stopped for a quick tour of their store. The store had some serious wood furniture that was inspirational to my own ambitions for woodworking. Behind the store there was a beautiful garden with all sorts of carved, and driftwood furniture for sale.
When we reached Brackley Beach, the pups were not permitted, so we walked the small boardwalk before heading east towards Covehead Harbour Lighthouse, and Stanhope Beach. Our visit at the lighthouse was short… ABL… before slowly making our way south towards Charlottetown. When we arrived in town, I made a stop at the Toy Master Motor Sports to discuss possible repairs on the levelling system. Compared to Pine Acres Rv in New Brunswick & PEI, the staff here was a step up on service, and willingness to help. They suggested I try a few things to ensure its not something simple, if they don’t work, give them a call. Most of what they suggested I tried, but a few I had not. When we arrived back to our Rv, I proceeded to look into these with no response from the system ☹️. I called the dealership and made arrangements for one of their service techs to come early tomorrow morning.
