Proud Grandparents

 Day 207

We knew, when we embarked on our journey that we would be missing some very important family functions. Birthdays, holidays, family game nights, all sorts of traditional get togethers that we all have and love. Not that we would regret our trip because we knew if we were going to do it, now would be the time. Everyone is healthy and happy . . . Go for it!

A couple of months into our trip, we had a FaceTime with Casey, Brian and Beckett. We were beyond happy to learn that they were expecting a new wee member to their family in November. They chose not to tell us until we were firmly entrenched on our trip so our plans were not delayed or changed in any way.

Fast forward to November.

We knew we were expecting a grandson, a little brother for Beckett and, that he should be making his appearance on the 16th. We all know babes decide when it’s time and on the morning of November 11th, our second grandson came into this world. So very thrilled to share our news but can’t tell you how hard it is to be so very far away and not be able to hold, kiss, smell, hold, kiss some more.

I know we’ll make up for lost time when we return but for now, we’ll just have to settle for the pictures I keep hounding for. Right now, happy to know that while we have a few months left to enjoy our travels, our homecoming is of great anticipation.

His name has not been announced, but we eagerly await.
