Jump Around

 Day Sixty Three

The largest of our jumps is today. We travel from Cornwall, PEI to North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The GPS clocks the travel time to be just over four hours, with my driving, I am looking at closer to six. Feeling we have seen the majority of the tourist highlights of PEI, we were ready to leave, and look forward to returning someday.

We packed the RV up early and headed towards Confederate bridge. We made plans to stop in Borden-Carleton; a small town right at the base of the bridge before we crossed over for a few photos. Back on the highway we drove towards the toll area. I was a little a little nervous on entering the toll section, concerned I was getting into the correct toll lane. Once I knew where I was supposed to be, I confidently pulled up and said, hello! The gentleman was nice and only charged us for one vehicle…. A good start to the day.

The journey to North Sydney was enjoyable, with only the occasional wind gust to ensure I was paying attention. We arrived at our campground around 3:00pm and set our spot up for our seven day stay. Out site is positioned high on a hill, with an unobstructed view of Seal Island bridge, and the Great Bras d’or inlet.

Interesting, the GPS shows us driving through the Atlantic Ocean.

The view from our front window.
Drone shot of the Great bras d’or inlet looking south.
Looking north towards the ocean.
Aerial views of the seal bridge.

That’s us, top row, centre left.
