Zoomies

Day Nineteen

We are halfway through our visit in Sault Ste. Marie. The weather has been sunny, with the temperature getting into the mid teens by late afternoon. Yesterday we made no plans for today and were tossing out ideas over breakfast. After going though some options, Lori looked into the local golf courses and found one just five minutes from the campground. We booked a tee time, and then took the pups for a walk. When we came back we dug out our golfing attire and head out.

The course was still recovering from winter and the ground was still littered with leaves from the massive oak, and maple trees that lined the fairways. I imagine this course is amazing during the fall. 🍁

After golfing we returned back to the campground for a late lunch and spent the afternoon with the pups. The KOA Campground is a dog themed park and there are two agility courses and a dog run for your pets to play in. The largest of the agility course you need to book an appointment to use, but the other two are open all the time. We wanted to see if Sophie would do the agility course and took her into the smaller one. Nope! No such luck, but, she had a serious case of the zoomies and ran all around the pen. After a few minutes of Sophie tearing around, Gizmo, our old gaffer with a bum leg joined in, it’s been a long time since I have seen him run like that.

Largest of the three agility courses in the campground.

Gizmo without the zoomies
Every morning you hear the wood peckers at work in the trees. Amazing how such a little bird can make that much noise.
