If I dropped you into paradise, would it only be a matter of time before you start hanging the weight of problems around your neck?
You know that peaceful feeling you get when you are on holidays someplace unknown. You sit on a patio, sipping a glass of lemonade as you watch the locals mill about and think how nice it would be to live here, it’s so peaceful!
I have a theory that every place is peaceful, if you leave your home for a short period of time, you are released from your mental weights of home. If you extend your getaway, your mind will decide to unpack its suitcase, and proceed to hang new mental weights around your neck.
The last few days have been filled with maintenance issues on the Rv, and surprisingly they stressed me out! I knew to expect technical issues, but in the last week we have had the levellers malfunction and the propane side of the hot water tank fail. This is just two more added to the other electrical issues we have been faced with. I am beginning to think that electrical ghost we experienced back on the May 15 post is causing more serious issues.
Regardless of these challenges, I found myself wondering why should I be so weighed down by them. Here I am in on a yearlong holiday with the love of my life and I am spending my thoughts fretting about things, like I would at home; how did this happen? After a day of internal reflection I will conclude the perfect world is when the mind is set free to see it.
If you are not truly free within yourself, there is no place on this earth you can go that will release you. I will resolve these issues, and enjoy my time doing it.
