Day 127
It was one of those days that you wake up to with absolutely no plans for the day. I did my best just before breakfast to locate a few places we missed on our first visit through the Belfast and the Wood Island regions but was unsuccessful, this certainly is the quiet side of the island. We decided to head to the town of Montague and check things out.
Montague is a small town with the usual Acadian history. The most notable thing I found of interest was an event that happened in 1992. A local entrepreneur decided to put a Wendys restaurant and Tim Hortons franchise under one roof. He invited the Wendys chairman Dave Thomas, and Tim Hortons Cofounder Ron Joyce for the grand opening, where the two executives met for the first time and established an immediate rapport. The success of the combined operation in Montague led to an agreement between the companies resulting in a merger of Tim Hortons and Wendys in 1995.
After we explored the little town, we headed back to Point Prim Lighthouse for a quick look around before heading back to the campground for a long hike.

Some very nice aerial shots
