Into Halifax

Day Ninety Two

Once we boarded the ship and settled down for the night, the storm that followed us from Deer Lake, continued to chase us halfway across the straight. The ferry would rise and fall with the swells and bobbed to one side and the other as we went. Lying in bed your body would shift from one side to the other in unison to the boat with the odd small slide. We did manage to get some sleep, and sometime in the morning the seas quieted down become peaceful.

We docked in North Sydney at seven in the morning and was given the green light to depart around seven thirty. We headed straight for the highway and turned our direction towards Halifax. Next stop, Shubie Campground.
