Canadian Space and Aviation Museum

 Day Forty Two

It was our first day to explore Ottawa. The temperature was expected to reaching twenty nine and we ditched our rain gear for shorts and sandals. Our destination was the Canadian Space and Aviation Museum, so we had to leave the pups at home for this trip. I set the thermostats to cool in the RV and had to continually assure Lori that they would be fine.

The museum was on the other side of Ottawa, so we plotted the scenic route through the city, crossing back and forth from Quebec, to Ontario. Even though we have been to the museum in the past, neither of us could remember being there. The museum is amazing, and runs you right through Aviation history and Canada’s contribution to it. We highly recommend it. The museum has its own runway and offered biplane rides around Ottawa for sixty five dollars. I contemplated on going, but decided not to, after we left the museum I began regretting that decision, maybe tomorrow I will return.

We spent the morning exploring the museum. Afterwards we headed to the ByWard Market in down town Ottawa for lunch at Zak’s Dinner, and then a little window shopping around the market. By mid afternoon we were both eager to return to the RV and see how the pups had faired. They did awesome! Putting Lori’s worries to ease.

Lancaster bomber from WWII
This bomber never saw any action, it arrived in Britain from Canada just as the war ended.
The bomb bay is huge! Kind of eerie
