Ontario Border

Day Nine

Today was the beginning of the end for this last storm. When I woke everything in the RV was operational and the furnace was humming along. The dogs were comfortable curled up in their crates and I had to wait while they slowly stretched, yawned and took their time coming out.

As for the battery issue from yesterday I am thinking it was the hot water tank and fridge that drained the battery as these were switched to electricity that evening. last night I made sure the hot water tank was off and just the fridge was running on the 15amp.

The morning was beautiful and we slowly took our time preparing the RV and truck for our next leg of the journey. A big thank you to Joe and Jodi Novak for putting up with us on an extended stay.

Here is the same culvert in front of Joe’s place during the flooding and after below.
The line of trees are the same in each photo

Around noon today we crossed the Ontario border heading for Dryden. The landscape slowly changed as trees began to line up along each side of the highway shielding the RV from the wind. We arrived in Dryden mid afternoon. Dryden being a small town there was not too much to see so we will spend the night in the Walmart parking lot and move on early in the morning to Thunder Bay.

Lunch on the side of the road as the picnic areas are still covered with snow.
