Day Eleven
The rain came down steady today and is not expected to let up for the next few days. Coming from the last two storms crossing the prairies and Manitoba we were not bothered by this and went out to explore the local area.
Just down the road was the Kakabeka Falls and we spent some time exploring the area. I was surprised at the size of the falls and discovered they are the tenth largest in Canada. The walkways along the falls walked you close and you could just feel the power of the water as it went over crashing into the rocks below. The water colour even surprised me, I have seen muddy Rivers with silt to clear water rivers, but never the colour of a dark brown ale, apparently the water is stained by the spruce bogs from which it drains.
On our way back , we stopped in the grocery store for a few supper fixings and stumbled across a memory from the past, I could not believe they still sell milk in bags…. Wow… this takes me back.

I was beginning to think the writer was going from adventure to untold horror stories but the next couple of chapters have my attention and am again looking forward the the next ones with sunshine and roses.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a roller coaster all right, As we become more experienced at the RV life I’m sure it will become second nature.
